Steve Jobs

We have lost a great genius in the computer industry. We should be thankful for the years he was on
this earth. With out Steve Jobs we would not have the iPad, the iPhone, the Macintosh computer. So many technical innovations. My condolences to his family.

Feel free to comment on posts

If you want to leave a comment, feel free!  Share your recent fishing experiences by yourself or with your kids.  I want people to feel free to share about their fishing experiences on this blog.  Comment away!

Kids CAN Fish's Goal

Here at Kids CAN Fish, we want the parents to take their kids fishing.  Parents, take your kids fishing, it's a great experience.  Kids, ask your parents to take you fishing.  It's awesome to reel in your first fish, and it never gets old.  Just try it once.  You'll like it!  I know what you are thinking, "What if I don't like it?"  Well, you will.  Trust me.  My dad took me fishing for the first time when I was 4.  It was an experience I will never forget.  For first time fishing though, I suggest lake or river fishing.  You may not get bite after bite, but the pull of the fish is much less strong in freshwater.  The best part is the satisfying feeling of eating a fish you caught yourself.  It's priceless.

Tip Of The Day

If I was to go fishing right now, as my first Tip Of The Day states, I won't until there is a new moon or full moon, I would go on a multi-day trip out of San Diego.  (I am not naming a landing.  You decide)  The Tuna and Yellowtail are not in 3/4 day or 1 1/2 day range yet.  I recomend going on a 4-7 day trip judging by today's fish counts.   Also, 4-7 day is perfect for your kid to join you on. Hope this helps!
By the way, always check the fish counts, the swell and the weather.

So get out there and cast a line!

Tip Of The Day

How often to maintenance your reel:

After fishing in salt water, you rinse your reel with fresh water, or soapy water.  Rinse thoroughly.  Dry carefully yet extensively.  Wipe reel with old rag or sock with some metal preservative oil, just to protect the finish on the reel.  Finally, oil the external parts.  Repeat every day used on salt water.  A friendly tip, only preform maintenance when used and only if you want to keep it running correctly longer.

So get out there and cast a line!

Tip Of The Day

When fishing at night, I suggest fishing during the full moon or new moon. (Spring tide) This is when the water level is at its highest. Avoid fishing during the new moons (Neap tides) were the water level is at its lowest. This is the Tip Of the Day!

So get out there and cast a line!

Friends of Rollo 1st anual BBQ

Just got back from the First Annual Friends of Rollo BBQ at Oak Canyon Park in Orange, Ca.  The food was GREAT, the raffle full of awesome prizes. There were wonderful people, and fun activities for kids including fishing for catfish in the pond.  You could cast for extra raffle tickets or for a pair of sunglasses or a reel.  It was an amazing experience and it was supporting a good cause; taking kids fishing.  I would so do it over again and you should join me next year!
